This will be Jessica Dixon’s, 17, first Jr. Iditarod but she says her family has had sled dogs all her life and she started mushing very young with her dad. She is homeschooled in the 11th grade and she has just finished her first college class. She says since she is home schooled, she gets to spend lots of time mushing. Her dad is gone every two weeks for work she she and are 14 year old brother are training the dogs. She has raised and trained all the dogs in her team. She wants to become a veterinarian and says she will continue mushing.
