Justin Vanover,15, was born on May 2, 1989 in Alaska. He is a 10th grade student at Palmer high School and a member of the wrestling team. Justin says, “I got into mushing because 5 years ago I found a harness and used it on my house dog. I am experimenting with my own breed of sleddgo and I hope it will do well in this year’s race.” He lists his hobbies as hunting, trapping, working out and golf. When asked what he plans to do after high school, Justin answers, “run the Iditarod.”
