Biography
Mallory Smyth, 17, is an eleventh grade student at Houston High School where he participates in football, soccer and wrestling. He says he also likes hunting and fishing. Mallory says he, like many Smyth’s before him, has been mushing all his life. His dad and two brothers are Iditarod veterans. His sister will be running in this year’s Jr. Iditarod also. He plans to pursue “higher education” when he’s out of high school and says “possibly” he will continue mushing.
