Kyle Jones, 17, is a senior at Bethel Regional High School, where he is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in cross country skiing. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, going trapping, hunting and camping and helping with activities at church. He has been mushing for five years. Kyle has been active in the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program’s (ANSEP) Acceleration Academy for three years and is hoping to attend UAF in the fall of 2016 studying engineering. He would like to say and extra thank you to the Keljka family for introducing him to mushing and supporting him in his mushing endeavors. He will not be mushing while he’s in college but hopes to get back into mushing after he graduates.
