Biography
Rose Capistrant, 16, says she was mushing before she was born. (Her mother was mushing at the time.) She ran the Jr. Iditarod last year.Rose says, “I have known most of my dogs since they were puppies, and I am their main trainer.” She is homeschooled and is in the 10th grade. She participates in ballet and also enjoys reading, gardening, and crafting. She plans to continue mushing while she is in high school, but not sure what she’ll do after graduation.
