Biography

Kevin Harper, 17, moved to Alaska from Washington, where he was involved with wrestling and soccer. Five years ago he and his brother, Ben, started mushing with Ray Redington, Jr. He, since, gave up other sports and concentrates on mushing. His first race was the 2014 Jr. Iditarod in which he finished third. Last year he was the Jr. Iditarod champion. Kevin is a senior at Wasilla High School. He says his hobbies are just about anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing and snow machining. He plans to go to college in Alaska and get his pilot’s license. He says he will continue mushing.
