Biography

Conway Seavey, 17, started mushing when he was four, following the example set by his three brothers, his father and his grandfather. He has finished the Jr. Iditarod three times and won the Race in 2010, his first Jr. Iditarod. He plans to run the Tustumena 200 this year also. Conway is homeschooled in the 11th grade. He says aside from mushing he runs long distance and plays other sports. But his main focus is his singing and songwriting. He won this year’s Alaska’s Got Talent and plans to be coming out with his own songs soon. In the summer time he manages a tour business and says he will not run dogs professionally but it will always be something “I do for fun.”
