Chelsea, 15, says she’s been mushing since she was five years old. She was born in Alaska, raised in Southern California outside of Los Angeles. “I grew up with my team and have mushed with them forever. I love dog mushing and hope that other teens get this opportunity. She is a sophomore at Crescenta Valley High School where she runs cross country and track. She enjoys snowboarding, surfing, volleyball and hiking. She wants to go on to college and medical school and become a surgeon. She says she will continue mushing as much as she can.
