Biography
Taylar Holt, 14, says she started mushing because “it’s just what my family does and so I do it too. Kind of have too.? She says, “I have watched my brother and sisters race all my life. I thought I would try it and see if I like it.? Her brother has run the Jr. Iditarod and is entered this year, her sister is a Jr. Iditarod veteran and her dad is an Iditarod veteran. Taylor is a freshman at North Pole High School where she participates in volleyball, basketball and softball. She says she also loves to read. She plans to go to college and doesn’t know whether she’ll continue mushing. She says, “It depends.”
