Biography
Travis Beals, 16, started mushing when he was “little” because “it looked like fun.” He has raced in short sprint races but this will be his first Jr. Iditarod. He is in 10th grade at Seward High School where he participates in baseball and football. He says he also enjoys mountain biking, dirt biking and hunting. After high school, he says he will go to college and he does plan to continue mushing.
