MacKenzie Davis, 17, was born in Bozeman, Montana. She says she began mushing when she was four years old. Her dad got a few dogs and she enjoyed playing with them. She has run the Jr. Iditarod twice and also the Jr. Don Bowers and the Aurora 50/50. She says they have had all their dogs for a “long time,? many since they were just pups. “I would not trade them for any other dogs in the world.? A senior at Wasilla High School, she says she keeps so busy with classes, mushing and her part time job at Blockbuster, that she has little time for school activities. But she says she enjoys running, hiking, camping (anything outdoors), reading and photography. She is graduating a year early from high school and plans to go to college this fall in Montana. She thinks it would be fun to continue mushing after she finishes college.
