Biography
Amanda Olson, 17, will be entering her third Jr. Iditarod. She also ran the Cantwell Classic last year and placed sixth. Amanda is homeschooled and in the 11th grade. She enjoys reading and the outdoors and doesn’t know what she’ll do after high school but will continue mushing. “I live 14 miles out of Talkeetna. You can only get there by snowmachine, four wheeler or dog team. So I use my dogs for transportation and hauling of groceries and wood.”
