Biography
Mark Ruzicka, 17, grew up in Alaska and says mushing is second nature to him. “Alaska is a wild place still and to all of us Alaskans, mushing is just life.? He actually started mushing because his father mushed and he thought it was one of the “most fun? sports. He scratched from the 2005 race but is confident of finishing the 2006 race. A senior at Sunshine Christian Academy, he plays football and says his hobbies include business, political science, mathematics and ancient history. He will go to college after he graduates and does plan to continue mushing.
