Biography

Max Kornmuller, 16, was born in New York and moved to Alaska with his family when he was seven. H says he started mushing when he was five or six because “my dad mushed dogs.” He’s finished the Jr. Iditarod twice, placing fourth and third. A junior at Houston Jr./Sr. High School, Max says he hasn’t decided what he’ll do after high school and he isn’t sure if he’ll continue mushing.
