Heather Hardy, 16, has been mushing for the last two years. She finished fourth in her first Jr. Iditarod and won the rookie of the year award. She also ran the Goose Bay 120 in 2002. A sophomore at Burchell High School in Wasilla, Heather says her hobbies are basketball, sports and dogs. She wants to be a veterinarian and does plan to continue mushing.
