Biography
Nicholas Sousa, 17, says he started mushing before he was five years old. His dad, Gerald Sousa, is an Iditarod veteran. He is a senior in the Galena Home School program. His hobbies, besides mushing, are proramming, electrical engineering, skiing and mixed martial arts. He is the mixed martial arts state champion. He hasn’t made plans yet for what he’ll do after high school and he isn’t sure about whether he will continue mushing.
