Biography

Cassidy Meyer, 15, says s he was born into mushing and grew to love it and the dogs. She was 3 or 4 when she started mushing and says it was the main transportation for her family between cabins and camping places. Both of her parents are mushers and they have raised most of their team. She’s run on back country trips since she was a little child. They also enjoy going into the Brooks Range and hunt caribou while relying on their dogs for transport. Cassidy is a freshman at West Valley High School and says she enjoys rock climbing,aerial silks and camping and other outdoor activities. She plans to go to college and then vet school. She says she does plan to continue mushing.
