Biography

Charlie Allison, 17, says, “I was given a litter of puppies to raise six years ago and started running them when they were old enough. He has run the Jr. Iditarod three times and the Jr. Cantwell. A home schooled senior in the Chugach Extension Program, Charlie says he enjoys reading, gaming, theatre, writing, and learning foreign languages. He was awarded the U.A. Scholar Award for his school district, an academic scholarship for four years. After high school, he plans to travel to Europe, and run either the Yukon Quest or the Iditarod and then off to U.A.F. He says, “My entire family, including my grandmother, lives on the same property with the kennel in the middle of all the cabins. In my opinion, my team is awesome, with two of them from my original had raised litter.
