Biography

Jesse DeLoach, 15, says his family started mushing in 1998, “just for fun.” This will be his first mid distance race. He says, “Some of my team ran the Jr. Iditarod lat year with my older sister, Katrina. I look forward to the challenge.” Jesse is home schooled and in the 10th grade. He participates in sports and creative writing through his schooling. He says he enjoys roller blading, skate boarding and body building. He wants a degree in sports medicine and says, “I will become a professional wrestler.” He is undecided as to whether he will continue mushing.
