Biography
Chrystie Salesky, 15, started mushing two years ago because “I loved dogs and my friends mushed.” She ran some local races in Nome last year. This will be her first Jr. Iditarod. A freshman at Nome Beltz Jr/Sr High, Chrystie says she enjoys veterinarian studies, travel and snow machining. She has already taken two veterinarian college classes. She says she just got her team of 16 dogs in 2006. She plans to go to college after graduation and says it’s possible that she’ll become a veterinarian. She does plan to continue mushing.
