Tobin Sworts

Palmer, AK, USA

Tobin, 14, began mushing several years ago when Jerry and Carolyn Purser hired him to take care of their dogs while they were gone from their home. He has been homeschooled since kindergarten and is currently in the eighth grade. He participates in basketball and soccer and also enjoys archery and cross country skiing. Tobin plans to go to college and study engineering. He says, “yes”, he does plan to continue mushing. He owns three dogs which he uses for skijoring. He will be running Linwood Fiedler’s dogs in his first Jr. Iditarod.
